On behalf of the Joolz Finance Team we are looking for an energetic, pro-active, and talented Interim Financial Controller to join the team at their Amsterdam HQ.
Are you available for at least 6 months and the one to take their Finance team to the next level?
You will be part of the Finance team that consist of the CFO, Business Controller, Financial project manager and the Financial Operations Team (3 HC). In your role you will be in direct contact with the CFO, Finance Team and you will work closely together with the international sales & marketing teams. You have regular contact with financial institutes, our auditors and tax authorities and advisors in order to comply to international regulations.
Your role:
- You will support our CFO in leading and accomplishing the financial control/accounting agenda
- Final responsibility for period and year-end closing including submission of accurate financial information to all stakeholders (Board of Directors, Bank, tax authorities)
- Oversees the financial accounting function and ensures accounting is accurate, transparent and complete
- Coordinating the financial operations team to maintain quality and drive efficiency by streamlining processes
- Represent the Finance team in company-wide improvement projects and contribute with your expertise in interdisciplinary teams
- Advisor to the CFO and Management team about financial control related subjects
- First contact person for external parties like our auditors, bank and tax authorities
- Gives the opportunity to explore improvement areas of your interest which will enhance your personal development
We are looking for:
- Someone who has a relevant Bachelor or Master degree; holding a relevant accounting qualification is a pre
- You have 2-4 years of experience in similar roles or you have 3-5 years of experience in an assistant controller role ready for a next step
- You have good knowledge of all local tax regulations and local GAAP.
- Your communication skills are good as well as your Dutch and English language skills
- You have knowledge of any enterprise resource planning (ERP) tool; experience with Navision is a pre
- Obviously, you know your way around working with auditors, tax authorities and financial institutes
- You are the one that takes initiative, works independently, is self-motivated and knows how to set priorities
- You are ambitious and like to explore development opportunities. You have well-developed leadership skills and help other members achieving their goals.
- You are service oriented towards other teams (Supply, Sales, Marketing, Product development, HR)
- You work accurately, you plan ahead, can handle deadlines well and have a can-do mentality
