Controller (Financial and Business)

We are looking for a person who has a lot of self-initiative, who is result-driven, and has problem solving and analytical competences. It is a broad role for a controller with at least 5 years relevant experience. You play a vital role in scoping, designing, developing and controlling the financial systems and processes and will be the key figure making sure their systems and processes are implemented and evolve over time. You are ready to really make a difference in the organization, ensuring our client becomes a scalable business to reach as many people as possible with access to energy innovation.

Main responsibility areas:

1. Coordinating monthly closing and reporting.
2. Supporting the business with analyses on sales, cash flow, forecast and profitability
3. Working with the Operational and Sales Team leaders to ensure an efficient and    effective supply chain and sales process including analysis of risks and ensuring the execution of internal controls
4. Drawing up the budget, the financial forecasts and management reporting including the analysis of the deviations
5. Preparing the annual audit and accounts and maintaining contact with the accountant;
6. Developing and implementing internal control policies and procedures.
7. Going deep into the current processes and possibilities that SAP Business One has to offer and optimizing the use of these as well as the supporting processes
8. Play a leading role in the implementation of further business support tools , like the setup of the CRM Module (collaborating with the commercial director) and the selection and implementation of a forecasting tool.

About you

You are an experienced Controller, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

Furthermore:

• At least 5-years relevant working experience
  • You have an analytical and problem-solving attitude by which you find your way towards solving problems by creative thinking, finding the required help in- or outside the company or in some other way
  • You are flexible and enjoy working in a small, dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • You are able to proactively involve the people you need to get the information you require from and are not afraid to follow up
  • You are fluent in English
  • You have:
    • Thorough knowledge of Dutch accounting principles and procedures
    • Proven working experience as a Controller
    • An educational background in accounting and/or controlling (HBO/WO or international equivalent).
    • The ambition to develop yourself in line with our growing organisation
  • Understands the alignment between business processes and ERP and how to get improvements realized
  • Understand the dynamics of the (international) supply chain

The controller reports to the Finance Director.
